Professional and Expert Wisdom Teeth Removal. Invest in Wisdom Teeth Removal with Legacy Oral & Facial Surgery.
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to come into your mouth as an adult and they don’t cause any issues if they align properly. However, more often than not, wisdom teeth get trapped or impacted in the gums and jawbone. This can result in a variety of problems as the teeth try to make their way through the gums.
If your wisdom teeth partially emerge, bacteria can grow in the opening around them and cause an infection. If this happens, you may start to experience pain, swelling, or other illness.
Don’t wait until it’s too late to have your wisdom teeth examined and removed. Contact one of our offices today in Hickory, Morganton, Statesville, or Asheville to schedule a consultation.

Before you have your wisdom teeth removed, you’ll meet with our surgical staff team for a pre-surgery appointment. We’ll exam your mouth and do some x-rays so we can see how many wisdom teeth you have and their positioning.
On the day of your surgery, ensure you have someone available to drive you to and from your appointment. You’ll also want to clear your schedule that day as you’ll need ample time to rest after.
After your wisdom teeth removal, you’ll experience some discomfort and swelling for a few days. Follow the post-surgery instructions you receive to speed up your healing process. Have some soft foods on hand, like yogurt and applesauce, so you don’t cause yourself additional pain.
If you are a current patient with a post-operative concern, please call our After-Hours Line at (828) 315-3544. A doctor is on-call and ready to assist you.
For emergencies, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
